A website built to convert tender-grade buyers.

BKRN is an Irish main contractor delivering commercial, residential, and heritage projects across Dublin and Galway. We rebuilt their website around how their actual buyers make decisions, and the result is a project-led site structured for enquiries, not clicks.

The Build

The website we designed.

Every section below is structured to move a visitor one step closer to enquiring, whether they're a quantity surveyor, architect, or developer.

The problem
A generic brochure site

The previous site was a stock construction template. Services listed alphabetically. No clear journey for a tender buyer. Credentials buried. Project work treated as an afterthought. A decision-maker visiting the site had to work hard to figure out whether BKRN were worth shortlisting.

What we built
A conversion-led sector site

A site structured around how architects, QSs, and developers actually evaluate contractors. Sector-led navigation. Credentials above the fold on every page. Named-architect endorsements tied to projects. Consistent template system the BKRN team can extend themselves. Every page ends in a pathway to enquiry.

Design Logic

Six decisions that make this site convert.

Every design and content choice on the BKRN site was reverse-engineered from how their buyers make decisions. Here's the logic behind the six we care about most.

01
Sector-led navigation
Menu structured by sector (Commercial, Residential, Conservation, Hospitality) instead of generic services. Buyers don't search for "construction services", they search for a contractor in their specific sector.
Reduces time to relevant page
02
Credentials above the fold
CIF registration, HomeBond membership, and "25+ years" all visible within the first screen. Professional buyers vet credibility in the first five seconds. Burying trust signals costs enquiries.
Builds trust in under 5 seconds
03
Named testimonials by project
Each project page surfaces endorsements from the specific architect or developer who worked on it. Generic "happy client" quotes carry no weight in tender-grade evaluation. Named industry backing does.
Converts credibility to shortlist
04
Consistent project templates
Every project page follows the same four-part structure (Situation, Challenge, Solution, Outcomes). Readers learn the pattern once and can scan any project in 30 seconds. Consistency makes the portfolio feel rigorous.
Scales without quality loss
05
Multiple enquiry pathways
Every page has at least one path to a conversion: call, contact form, or project-specific enquiry. Visitors convert at different levels of readiness. Forcing one pathway kills warmer leads.
Captures mixed-intent visitors
06
Mobile-first, tender-grade
50%+ of professional evaluators do initial research on mobile. The site renders flawlessly down to 320px with full credentials, project detail, and enquiry pathways intact. No "desktop-only" fallbacks.
No lost mobile enquiries

The Conversion Path

From landing to enquiry, in four steps.

How a typical buyer moves through the BKRN site. Every step answers the question the previous one raised.

1
Arrival
Homepage hook
Visitor lands on a homepage anchored by the Hume Street video background. Credentials visible instantly. They know in 10 seconds this is a serious contractor.
2
Qualify
Sector filter
They click into their sector (Conservation, Commercial, Residential, Hospitality). The page speaks directly to their buyer type. They self-select into relevance.
3
Evaluate
Project proof
They read a project case study in the same sector. Named architect endorsement. Scale and complexity match their own project. They know BKRN can do it.
4
Convert
Enquiry sent
They enquire via form, phone, or direct email. Every page has at least one conversion pathway. Low-friction, high-intent, qualified by that point.

What BKRN Got

Benefits delivered.

A website isn't the output. These are. Everything the BKRN team can now do because of the build.

Tender-grade credibility
A site that holds up when a QS or developer checks BKRN out before shortlisting.
Own their content
BKRN team can add new projects themselves using the template system. No developer dependency.
Faster buyer decisions
Sector-led structure and consistent project layouts mean buyers reach a decision in one visit.
Ready for awards & PR
Platform for showcasing shortlists, awards, and press. Prospect Bay shortlist already live.

What's Evolved Since

Our process evolved.

Since the BKRN project we've added an AI assistant for brand design consistency, faster initial design rollout, and we now offer two complete homepage design styles upfront so clients can pick a direction without paying for redesigns later.

We've also significantly improved our build's load speed, taking sites from around 3.5 seconds down to 1.3 seconds on first contentful paint.
