Google is more forgiving than Facebook in most ways but punishes a few specific mistakes brutally. Here are the ones we audit for first.

Broad match without negatives

Broad match keywords without aggressive negative keyword lists are how Google quietly drains your budget into irrelevant searches. Weekly negative keyword review is non-negotiable.

No conversion tracking

Without conversion tracking, smart bidding cannot optimise. You are paying Google to spray your budget. Conversion API + offline conversion uploads are baseline.

Search Ads pointing to homepage

Quality Score punishes irrelevant landing pages. Ad about “emergency plumber Dublin 4” should land on a page about emergency plumbing in Dublin 4, not the homepage.

Things people ask before signing up.

Does the monthly fee include ad spend?

No. The monthly management fee is for our work (strategy, ad copy, creative, optimisation, reporting). Ad spend goes directly from your card to Google. This keeps you in control of the spend, gives you the receipts and tax records direct from Google, and means you own the ad accounts forever.

Do I keep the Google Ads account?

Yes, always. We work in your Google Ads account, not ours. If you ever leave us, the account, history, keyword data and creative all stay with you. No “lock in”.

What’s the minimum commitment?

3 months minimum. Google’s smart bidding needs at least one month to gather meaningful conversion data, then a second month to optimise. After 3 months it rolls monthly with 30 days notice.

How quickly can we go live?

3 to 4 weeks from signup. Week 1 is keyword research and conversion tracking setup. Week 2 is account build and creative. Week 3 is launch.

Will I rank organically too?

Google Ads is paid traffic only and does not affect your organic Google ranking. If you want organic traffic, that’s SEO, which is a separate service. Many clients run both eventually.

What about Local Service Ads?

Available for eligible trades but worth a frank conversation. Google removed the Google Guaranteed money-back protection in November 2025 and discontinued dispute credits for wrong-area or wrong-service leads. Lead quality has dropped industry-wide. We’ll be honest with you on the discovery call about whether LSA is worth it for your specific business right now.
